The candidate is evaluated according to five language competencies: speaking, verbal interaction, reading, listening, and writing. There are specific tests for writing, speaking, reading aloud, understanding a written text, and understanding oral instructions. No specific bibliography is required.
The test lasts approximately one hour.
The certificate will be issued within 48 hours (two working days).
The level scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) can be consulted HERE.
The certificates grant access to study scholarships, employment opportunities, doctoral admission, etc. Some non-philological faculties accept these certificates as proof of foreign or Romanian language proficiency for admission purposes.
The CLS Ariel certificate has no connection with admission to the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Bucharest. The highest level of proficiency attested by the CLS Ariel certificate refers to normal social situations and does not necessarily correspond to the optimal results required for university admission, which also depend on knowledge of linguistics, literature, and general culture. CLS Ariel certificates do not replace professional translator certificates in specific fields nor the translator authorization issued by the Ministry of Justice.
